Brass named snuff box, 19th Century, inscribed 'Forget me not, J Read', in stipple engraved details, and dated 1857 on the reverse, 6.5cm x 5cm
The condition is good. There are signs of wear and very light scratching consistent with age and normal use. There are tiny losses to the edge of the steel button. Some small pinprick dents. The piece closes crisply and the button functions well.
