4 x vintage Japanese shima stripes, fine quality. dark coloured cotton and menase blend textiles for men's kimono/haori. bought meji shrine market, tokyo, late 1980’s. used but good condition. a - fine shima stripe with kasuri ( space-dye yarn) stripe accents, tenmono width, cotton 70 x 34cm.. b- simple triple shima stripe, kasuri yarn accent stripes. menase blend, 70 x 34cm.. c- beautiful fine multi stripe, kasuri accent cloth, dark black indigo ground with multi colour stripes, menase blend cloth . 55 x 34cm.. d- beautifully simple shima mono stripe in wool blend cloth with handmade label ( kimono maker ? ) and hemmed one end. slight marks from previous make. 50 x 35cm
