Two letters from East India House relating to the loss of the East Indiaman "Hindostan", wreck in January 1803, the first dated May 1803 relating to a claim for loss of cargo, the second dated November 1803 giving details of settlement of said claim, both addressed to Messrs Cobb & Co of Margate, both with postage date stamps, one with EIC wax seal; and another letter from East India House to Messrs Cobb & Co dated July 1810 relating to shipping charges, with EIC wax seal. Messrs Cobb & Co were established in 1783 in Margate and taken over by Lloyds Bank in 1891. Also four early 19th century prints of East India House, and Wikipedia details of the Hindostan. £50-60
