Kinkozan, Meiji period (1868–1912) Satsuma vase of cylindrical footed and flared form. Cobalt blue ground with heavily gilt raised decoration of birds, fans and flowers. Three reserves are painted with blossoming trees amongst village, river and lake scenes. Four character gilt mark to base. Height: 14.5cm
