India, Bombay School of Art, slip decorated pottery ewer, circa 1900, baluster form with entwined serpent handle, traditionally decorated in ochre coloured slips against a dark treacle ground, height 31cm
There is a small glaze chip to the domed top of the ewer, three small chips to the foot rim. There is the odd small glaze flake to the body and craquelure throughout. Overall the piece is in very good condition.
