A PAIR OF CONTEMPORARY CHINESE DESIGNED CHAIRS.

Made with the timber of Jinsi Nanmu (golden threads nanmu). A precious wood that was used exclusively by the royal court during the Ming dynasty and was used to help build the Forbidden City. Each chair in bamboo cane style, with a curved back rest and 'V' shaped splat. Rush seat and raised on turned bamboo style supports united by an all rounded stretcher. Seat 50cm x 42cm, the overall height of the each chair 79cm. (2)
