'OPERATION CORNFLAKES' PROPAGANDA COVER: March 1945 env. inscribed "DEUTSCHE BANK" on reverse addressed to Johann Fistere, Berlin. Cover bears a forgery of 12pf red 'Hitler head' type with a Stuttgart c.d.s. Used in 'Operation Cornflakes' - the Allied attempt to deceive the German authorities into delivering propaganda mail through the German postal system. Very fine & scarce.
