WW1 BWM, Victory Medal & Memorial Plaque to 39569 Pte S.G. Leavold Bedf R. (Samuel Gutteridge Leavold on plaque) extremely fine, plaque has small loop fitted to reverse. He died of wounds as a prisoner of war serving with 2nd Bn South Wales Borderers (No 40632) on 4th December 1917 and is buried in Quievy Communal Cemetery Extension. With ID disc as 21389 Suff R which Soldiers Died confirms as same man. With copied MIC, Soldiers Died, CWGC and POW card, only issued a pair, numbers confirmed. Also with WW2 1939-1945, France and Germany Stars, Defence Medal, BWM and 1937 German Wehrpas for Heinrich Schaneis. (R)
