EXTREMELY RARE 1945 ALLIED MILITARY GOVERNMENT (AMG) "SPECIMEN" BOOKLET: Booklet containing 9 panes of different values, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 & 25pf of the 1945 AMG issue. (SG A1/A9). Each pane of 8 stamps - originally 10 stamps, but the right hand vertical pair in each pane has been removed. Panes are attached at left hand side by gummed paper, stapled and separated by interleaving. Each pane being overprinted with large, continuous "SPECIMEN" block letters in purple horizontally through the centre of the pane. The beige outer cover is inscribed "SPECIMENS/OF/ALLIED MILITARY/GERMAN POSTAGE STAMPS" with burgundy coloured tape covering the staples. A very fine and rare item.
