Michael Hipkins (Born 1942) Signed Alabaster Statue of Mother and Child. Stands approximately 12 inches in height. Michael Hipkins was born in 1942 and received his Art education at Blackpool College. He then went to Paris to study painting at the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere and Academie Julienne and etching and engraving at S.W. Hayter`s Atelier 17. This sculpture is carved in white alabaster, depicting mother and child. The height is approximately 12 inches, with clear signature to the lower edge.
