3rd Reich Erbhof (Hereditary Farm) Iron Plaque Depicting the single S rune of the DJV. These were mounted to farm gates showing that the farm was of Aryan heritage and had a family member serving in the DJV (German Young people-Hitler youth for 10-13 year olds). This conformed to the Reichserbhofgesetz law, a Nazi law that implemented the principles of blood and soil, stating that its aim was to "preserve the farming community as the blood-source of the German people".
