Follower of Juan de Arellanu (Spanish, 1614-1676) Basket of tulips and other flowers, bears signature "Juan de Arellanu" lower left, probably 18th century, label on reverse inscribed in sepia ink "Sevilla ...169", 19th century carved wooden frame over painted, canvas re-lined and stretcher replaced, 22½ x 16½ in. (57.2 x 41.9cm.).
*Relined when restored in the 20th century when stretcher was replaced. Surface dirt, varnish broken down, canvas taught.
