A Non-Nacreous Conch Pearl and Diamond Ring,

the central 9.14mm egg-shaped whole conch pearl in claw setting, surrounded by old cut diamonds, the diamonds totalling approximately 0.75 carats, unmarked mount tests as 18ct yellow gold, size M, 4.3g

More Information

The conch pearl is of even pale pink colour with an obvious flame-like structure across most of the surface, very light wear and extremely minor abrasions to the surface but no chips or cracks, the conch pearl measures approximately 9.14 x 7.53 x 6.25mm. The diamonds are relatively bright and lively with only a few extremely minor inclusions visible through a loupe. The mount has solder join marks where both shoulders meet the head of the ring, along with general wear, the conch pearl moves ever so slightly within the claws but still appears quite comfortably within the setting. Overall in very good condition and a very rare conch pearl.
