Great Britain 1840-1965 mint and used stamp collection in large blue album; strength in QV. Noted: 2 1d Black used; one is intense black plate 6. 2d Blues 2nd printing 8x singles, 6 x pairs (one with boxed DUNBLANE cancel), strip of 3. A page of 1d Red imperf varieties. Damage 1d Black on cover, 3 2d Blue covers, one with pair. Range of 1d reds on/off cover with numeral in Maltese Cross cancels, one without T at top. Two pages of 1d Reds with MX cancels including London, Leamington, Kelso. Four pages of 1d Red imperfs with postmark interest. A good number of pages of 1d Red Stars and Plates with some covers and several 1/2d Plates. Range of surface printed issues to 5/- with Plate numbers, watermarks, shades and Government official overprints. Cover to St Vincent with 2 KE 21/2d and 2 QV 1d Lilac tied SOUTHAMPTON DOCKS and straight line THE OFFICER ADMINISTERING THE GOVERNMENT cachet in purple; another with 1d KE and POSTED ON THE HIGH SEAS cachet in purple. Range of KE issues to 5/- with shades, then Geo V, Geo VI and QE2.
