Star Lot : An enticing original limited edition (19/100) acid plate etching artwork by the Dutch artist Pieter de Regt (b.1877 - d.1960) on paper showing an architectural study of a canal side building surrounded by tall trees. Signed in pencil bottom right and titled bottom left. Housed in a vintage frame.

As a great admirer of the Hague School and Anton Mauve, de Regt preferred to paint his landscapes and village views directly from nature. He initially found his subjects mainly in and around his home town of Rijswijk. De Regt set up a studio on his boat, which he sailed to the Braassem, Kaag and Loosdrecht lakes.
