AN ANTIQUE GOLD COLOURED ENAMELLED RELIQUARY PENDANT CROSS, bright gold coloured piece; no hallmarks possibly gold. To one side a three-dimensional Corpus Christi with scull engraved beneath the feet and, the letters INRI above his head, to the hinged side a figure of Mary stands holding the child Jesus in her arms. A pin bar secures the hinged side; when removed it opens to reveal four compartments within. There are folded pieces of paper with ink script in three of the compartments. We have not removed all nor unfolded them as they are delicate. Dimensions of pendant: 6 x 3.7cm including loop. Weight: 23grams.
