Star Lot - A fabulous large vintage Japanese figure of Prince Yamato (B72AD - D114AD). Crafted from hand pulped abaca and rice straw paper this wonderful studio craft sculpture cuts a striking figure in shades of plum and pink with green skin tone and honey blonde hair. H46cm
Prince Yamato was the semi-legendary son of the Emperor Keikō. He was trapped in long grass by his enemies and used the enchanted sword Kusanagi to cut his way free. Yamato's story has been compared to the Legend of King Arthur as it contains many Arthurian elements. With original maker's tag. Some light damage to paper.
