AN EARLY GEORGE III FIGURED MAHOGANY EIGHT DAY LONGCASE CLOCK the hood with shaped swan-neck pediment, carved rosettes and eglomise glass panels above tapering reeded columns and glazed arch door, the shaped top full length figured trunk door enclosed by reeded quarter columns; on canted base with applied panel raised on ogee bracket feet. The thirteen-inch arched brass dial with revolving moon phases, cherub head rococo spandrels and silvered chapter ring with Roman hours and Arabic outer minute markings enclosing a scroll engraved matted centre with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture fronting an eight-day weight driven movement with anchor escapement striking on a bell.
