16th Queen’s Lancers Other Rank’s lance cap circa 1905-14.
A good scarce example. Patent leather body, peak and crown with ornate gilt metal fleur bosses to each corner. Regimental plate to front with battle honours up to South Africa 1900-1902. Lion’s head bosses support the leather-backed brass chin-chain, reverse with brass hook and ring for attachment of chin-chain and cap lines. Red centred yellow woollen boss with post 1901 regimental button, supports a black horsehair plume mounted in brass plume holder. Leather sweatband. Complete with yellow yellow worsted cord cap lines. VGC
