Former Bristol Zoo Gardens - Wow! Gorllias (2011 Art Trail) - an original smaller-scale statue from the 2011 art trail that took place in Bristol. This statue, of unknown origin, was likely one decorated by a local school and later donated to Bristol Zoo, where it remained on display for many years. Fibreglass construction, hand painted. WOW! Gorillas was an art trail organised by Bristol Zoo in 2011 to celebrate the Zoo's 175th Birthday and to raise awareness for conservation. The trail saw 61 gorilla statues placed around Bristol, each decorated by a different artist. The Gorilla statues were based on Alfred, the famous Bristol Zoo gorilla.
