A military style truncheon
We can see no marks anywhere on the truncheon or strap, although the strap is of military style. The vendor states it belonged to her father who she believes was an auxiliary police officer before joining the military during the war: he was a bank manager after the war. Beyond that we have no provenance I'm afraid.
