Victorian silver mounted ruby glass combination scent bottle and vinaigrette, the hinged cover over an oval bottle (lacking inner stopper), the silver base with hinged cover enclosing a gilt pierced grille, maker William Stringer Mills, London 1888, 3.5" high

lacking any inner stopper to the bottle, the grille pushed in beyond the rim of the vinaigrette section and cannot grip and pull out the grille as intended.
