Interesting French violin labelled Ludovicus Guersan Propé, Comaedian Gallican Lutetiae, Anno 176*, the two piece back of faint medium curl with similar wood to the head, the sides of plainish wood, the table of a fine width grain and the varnish of a golden-brown colour, 14", 35.60cm, case (table sound post crack)

There has been restoration work undertaken on the table in the sound post area and also a repaired crack running from the top of the violin to the top of the F hole running adjacent to the bass bar, another crack running from the bottom of the F hole on the bass side under the chin rest, further more minor cracks all visible in the images on the back there has been a repair undertaken below the button, see images for guidance, personal viewing advised
