A VICTORIAN 11th REGIMENT OF FOOT (NORTH DEVON) UNIFORM. A red tunic with dark green collar and cuffs, ten Queen's crown buttons 'North Devon' to the front and two further buttons to each cuff. With a pair of trousers with black stripe. Known as the 'Bloody Eleventh' for their exploits at Salamanca in 1812 the 1st and 2nd Battalions of the 11th (North Devon) Regiment of Foot were reorganised to become part of the Devonshire Regiment in 1881. *CR Good condition with very occasional moth to the trousers and signs of wear and use.
