The central top cover polychrome enamelled with a cartouche depicting a courting couple, in Arcadian garden view, signed ‘Mioas’ in Watteauesque manner, surrounded by second republic scrolling motifs and and gilding against midnight blue lustre ground, interior painted with frieze of flowers, Sevres style overglazed gold enamel mark with red destination mark.
