Early 19th Century 2nd Life Guards Officer's Sword


34 1/2 inch, single edged blade.  Etched, Victorian crowned, flaming grenade over entwined "LG" over "2" and foliage wreath.  The forte with maker "Andrews 9 Pall Mall London".  Brass plated, steel, 3 bar guard with foliage wreath around the forte.  Brass pommel with scroll border and flaming grenade within winged lightening bolts.  Contained in its steel scabbard with brass chape and hanging ring.  Complete with later gilt sword knot.  

Andrews operated with this trading name and address from 1821 to 1825.
