An original letter written by Flight Lieutenant Bill Ley Kenyon (Forger of The Great Escape) to his parents dated 13th January 1943 whilst held POW at Stalag Luft III during WW2.
Ley Kenyon was an accomplished artist and was recommended to be an official war artist prior to his capture. At Stalag Luft III he was asked by the Senior British Officer (SBO) to sketch every stage of the tunnel.
