A REGENCY GILT GESSO OVERMANTEL, early 19th century, of oblong inverted breakfront form, the cavetto moulded cornice with deep frieze with fruiting oak branches centred by an escallop shell in high relief, the plate flanked by turned pilasters with leaf clasp collars and scrolled capitals, on moulded base, 53" x 3" x 35 3/4" (Est. plus 24% premium inc. VAT)
Good condition bar some losses to gilding on top edge of right side of cornice. Plate replaced.
