1859 (Sep 29) Entire letter from London bearing 1857 Large Garter 4d rose with upper margin showing part inscription, centrally cancelled by oval "PD" in black with a further strike alongside in red, backstamped in London, Paris and Cannes. An unusual and rare use of this "PD" mark as a cancellation. Photo on Page 14.
