apparently unmarked, cast in a baluster shape with sea-form repoussé waist with opposing cartouches containing a profile for a steam yacht and inscription reading Commodore's Cup / Presented to the Steam Yacht Maxine / The / Shortest Time Over The / AMERICAN YACHT CLUB COURSE / Irrespective of Time Allowance / Won By the ATLANTA July 15th '86 / Length of Course 80 Knots / Time 4 Hours 34 Min. 57 Sec., seaweed waist bound with anchors and chains, terminating with a scaly lid with capstan finial -- 17in. (43cm.) high; 1.788kg.
