each with gently flared rims and painted with five roundels of different mountainous river landscape scenes, on an openwork cash-form ground above a band of lappets, and beneath a band of stylised flowerheads, the bases unglazed

Provenance : Sold by Christies Amsterdam in their auction of Fine and Important Ming and transitional Porcelain, the second and final part of the Hatcher collection, recently recovered from as Asian vessel in the South China Sea, 12th/13th June 1984.
