Aeolis, Aigai (c. 151-143 BC) AR Tetradrachm, Stephanophoric type, 16.63g. Wreathed head of Apollo Smintheos facing right, bow and quiver over shoulder. Rev. Zeus standing left, holding eagle and sceptre, AI?AIE?N to right, monogram to left, all within an oak wreath. (SNG Ashmolean 1252; SNG von Aulock 1595; SNG Copenhagen 5). Good Very Fine. A few light scratches. Very Rare.
