THOMAS CHILTON, LONDON. A MID-18TH CENTURY BURR WALNUT EIGHT-DAY LONGCASE CLOCK the 12" arched brass dial with urn-shaped spandrels, silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and outer minute markers, fitted strike/silent function to the top and matted centre having a seconds dial, date aperture and signed name cartouche, below a rocking father time to the arch. The eight-day weight-driven movement with anchor escapement and hourly rack strike on a bell; arched top hood with blind fret frieze above an arched trunk door on a plinth base. (222cm high )
