Approximately 150 Northumberland/Durham area postcards by R Johnston and Son from the Monarch Series which are numbered between 2,006 and 2,941. Mainly real photographic. Locations include Blanchard, Allendale, Blyth and Corbridge. There are many scenic views and churches but also many desirable cards with some street views, colliery town interest and four rail stations (of which 3 are RPs. See photo). Many cards are in good or better condition – but a number have faults, which are usually relatively minor such as edge knocks, corner rubbing or creasing etc.
