A GEORGE III SILVER CHEESE WARMING DISH

by Thomas Robins, London 1812, of rounded rectangular form, the domed hinged cover with a double C-scroll handle above a leaf-form collar, the base with a gadrooned edge, engraved with a crest and coronet, with a screw-out detachable fruitwood handle. 24cm wide, 32cm long incl. handle, 44.4 troy ounces

The marks are clear. The hinged cover opens and closes neatly. The handle screws on and off nicely. There is a tiny amount of age-related surface wear, but generally, it is in very good condition.
