Fanning Island Plantations Ltd. 1 Pound Emergency Issue, during WW2 there was a shortage of Australian Dollars on the Island so these notes were printed to pay local labour, once the shortage abated they were collected and cut in half, with the halves then used as movie admission tickets. The halves usually have their corners clipped and are marked 1/- in blue crayon on the left half and 2/- in red crayon on the right half. There are a few complete notes know but these are rare
