*Gladys Marguerite Baker (British, 1889-1959) - Portrait of Emily Beatrice Baker (the artist's sister) - Oil on canvas - 120 x 74cm - 137 x 91cm framed - Signed upper left - Inscribed to the stretcher - Provenance: By descent in the artist's family - Baker was a London painter specialising in portraiture. She trained at Queen's College, St John's Wood Art School and Royal Academy Schools, where she won a silver medal for a composition in colour in December 1914.
