Antique erotica interest - nine 18th Century Majollica Mattonella tiles reputedly salvaged from a casino in Naples demolished around 1800. Each substantial earthenware tile decorated in majolica glaze depicting different erotic scenes involving monks, nuns, gentlemen and prostitutes, with Italian annotations: 'Il Comunismo', 'Beneficiata della Donna', 'La Piramide Lussuriosa', ' Il Consolatore delle Monarche', 'Il Contrabando', 'Non Possumus', La Gratitudine del Convalescente', 'Una Contra Tre' and 'Preparativo al Bersaglio'. Each tile measures approximately 19.8cm x 16.8cm x 2cm. Presented in an unassociated wooden box.
