AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY CHINESE SILVER PRESENTATION TWIN HANDLED TROPHY CUP WITH HARDWOOD PLINTH, polished bowl, wavy rim decorated with repeating foliate pattern, personal engraving reads 'Presented To Det Supt A. H. Aiers By The Chinese Detectives attached to the crime Branch of Hongkew Station on the occasion of his proceeding to England on Home Leave March 1931', fitted with double concave scrolling handles, tapered stem on a round base, stamped to the base with Chinese character marks and double stamped makers mark unclear to read, approximate height 20cm to the highest part of the handle, approximate diameter of bowl 17cm, approximate gross weight 871.8 grams, 28.0 ozt, together with a dark wooden round plinth (condition report: general light wear, some slight discolouration in places may benefit from a gentle clean, light surface scratches, overall condition good)
