LARGE MEISSEN CLOCK - BIRDS. 20thc, the enamel dial with gilt numerals and striking on a bell, the elaborate case with various birds including a Parrot and Cockatoo, two birds with a nest and various applied flowers and leaves. On a rococo style base and with a key, 'Blue Crossed Swords' mark to the reverse, and impressed numbers 60817. 32cms high. ** Two leaves are loose and you can see where they have come off, there is some wear around one of the winding holes.
Overall, it seems to have survived well considering the way it is constructed.
