Belgium: 1905 Liege World Fair and 75th Anniversary of National Independence collection in two large ‘SAFE’ sleeved ring binders with 55 souvenir and promotional cinderellas, some tied to postcards sent at the time – plus mint 1905 Grosse Barbe set to 2F (SG 94-105, cat £600) . Just under 300 postcards, coloured, embossed, tinted, black and white of anniversary and Royalty, ‘officials’ of cities of Belgium, plus those of the anniversary celebrations including patriotiques, chariots, cortege historique, giants, drapeaux and grand aerostatic.

From the collection of Tom Pring, a highly respected member of the Belgian Study Circle and the author of two works on Belgian issues, ‘Fine Barbe Varieties’ (2009) and ‘1893 Armoires du Royaume’ (2015). Pring was half-way through a work on the Ostend-Dover Route, which he was sadly unable to complete.
