AN ORNATELY CARVED 19TH CENTURY WASH STAND WITH GLAZED POTTERY BOWL, the stand is a beautiful example of the art of wood carving from the scrolling foliage detail framing the hand glazed bowl to the three carved eagle legs it really is a beautiful piece of functional antique furniture. The bowl sits upon curved supports and is surrounded by a carved foliage frame, beneath is a slender carved and turned column support with acanthus leaf detail. The three eagle legs are the main decorative detail though. Condition: in excellent condition; there is a few small nicks to the wood here and there but does not detract from the piece. Dimensions: 82cm tall x 50cm wide.
