FOUR NINETEENTH CENTURY RELIEF MOULDED POTTERY JUGS, comprising, TWO BUFF GLAZED EXAMPLES, ONE ATTRIBUTED TO PHILLIPS & BAGSTER, with greyhound handle and moulded with the stag hunt, the other by JONES & WALLEY, with interwoven rustic handle, ANOTHER, LIDDED AND BLUE GLAZED EXAMPLE BY J.W. PANKHURST & Co, moulded with the ‘Willie’ pattern, and the OTHER, BY COCKSON & HARDING, moulded with flowers and fruiting vine, 7 ½” (19cm) high and smaller, (4)
C/R- the buff jug with the interwoven handle lacking lid and with fine cracks for the two locating holes to the rim and a firing crack to the underside of the handle near the top, the last jug with firing cracks to the handle and a very small firing crack to the tip of the spout.
