A George III silver Old English sauce ladle by Elizabeth Tookey, London 1769, engraved with a crest with a similar ladle by Richard Crossley, London 1792, engraved with initials, 93gms.(3ozs.), gross, (2) A strainer spoon by Tookey is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Elizabeth Tookey (died 1773?) was married to James Tookey, a spoon maker and plateworker, and herself became a silversmith after his death, although the date at which her mark was registered is unknown.
