William Thomas Kinkade II (1958 - 2012) was an American painter, known for his popular realistic, pastoral and idyllic subjects. He was extremley successful with the mass marketing of his work as printed reporuductions through the Thomas Kinkade Company, which states that one in every twenty American homes owned a copy of one of his paintings.
