1914 Star with date bar to 1777 Pte J.H.P. Barrett 1/28 Lond R., BWM and Victory Medal to Lieut J.H.P. Barrett R.F.C. and Memorial Plaque to Jack Harper Phillips Barrett nearly extremely fine and better. He died of influenza on 1st November 1918 and is buried in Hampstead Cemetery. With original colour illustrated memorial folder, leather bound, outside with gold lettering May 1915- July 1917, Attd R.A.F. July 1917 - Nov I 1918, JACK August 1914 to ... July 3 1916, Gassed May 1915, Wounded June 1915 Hooge, Wounded July 1916 Somme, Died Nov I 1918, inside folder has a photo of him as officer with Lincoln Regt and illustrated prayer. Also with original photo in RAF uniform with wings and Roll of Honour of Head Office, General Buildings, Perth on which he is listed.
The medals and plaque are housed within a wooden frame (now removed for inspection). With copied RAF service papers and CWGC. He was commissioned in Lincoln Regt in April 1916, served with No 9 Sqn, also Instructor in Aerial Gunnery. GLASS WILL NOT BE POSTED. (B)
