A Victorian carved head violin, possibly by Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume, France, the carved head depicting Gasparo Duiffopruggar (1514 - 1571) who invented the violin, on the reverse is a carved marquetry scene of Bologna Italy where Duiffopruggar had his violin shop, paper label Gaspard Daiffo Praggard, .....1510, 62cm.
