TELEGRAPHS: 1903 (22 Apr) "Appendix D" Colour Scheme for the 1903-04 KEVII Telegraph issue, comprising fifteen different unadopted imperforate colour trials on gummed wmk CA (postage) paper, all bicolour, with eight denominated 75c and seven denominated 5c, neatly arranged in four rows and lightly affixed to quadrille sheet (c.200x325mm), the whole mounted on large album page "0000496" from the De La Rue display collection. The sheet with neat M/S heading "22nd April 1903 / Ceylon Reqn 130/01 / Appendix D". Some trials with unimportant creasing (minor split on one 5c), mentioned for accuracy, nevertheless a stunning exhibition item with wonderfully fresh colours (the 5c in olive-green & purple, light blue & purple, reddish purple & yellow-brown, blue-green & carmine, reddish purple & blue-green, grey & blue and scarlet & black, the 75c in blue-green & reddish purple, carmine & purple, blue & blue-green, scarlet & blue-green, violet & blue-green, olive-green & blue, blue-green & deep brown and brown & black).
