CHINESE LIDDED TUREEN & DISH - BUTTERFLIES & INSECTS. Probably 19thc, the lidded tureen profusely painted with butterflies and other insects, the inside painted with a single spray of flowers and with a gilded handle (23cms across). Also with a dish in the same design (25cms diameter). (2). *Condition: Dish, couple of chips to the rim and some nibbles to the rim.
Tureen, the lid has a crack which runs from one corner into the centre, with a couple of cracks running from it. Base, there is a crack which runs from the centre of the base to the side of the footrim, couple of smaller firing cracks to the footrim, still rings nicely around the rim.
