An oak long case clock, circa 1800, with eight day movement, striking the hour to a bell. White dial with Roman numerals, painted gilt spandrels  and oval hand painted plaque above the dial depicting a maiden awaiting the return of her lover's ship. Painted makers name Broon of Burton. Glazed arch door with broken arch pediment over with brass finial and scroll caps. Tapering brass columns with brass ends flapping the door. Oak case with panelled plinth. Brass pendulum on rod, weights suspended on wire. Footplate fixed to case. Winder and key with us. Overall height 223cm. Width of Hood 50.5cm. Dial 13inches/33cm.
